Jim Strauss Death, Obituary – As a consequence of the fact that Jim Strauss was such a respected life member of our organization, all of us are experiencing a level of grief that is both profound and deep as a direct result of his passing. Because of his passing, we are all in this state, and the passing of Jim is directly to blame for this state of affairs. Jim devoted his entire career, which lasted for a combined total of 64 years, to serving as a firefighter for the Lake Shore Fire Department.

Jim’s entire work life consisted of the aforementioned activities. During that time, he held a number of different positions within the department, including those of fireman, treasurer, and chaplain, amongst others. He also served as the department’s chaplain. He served in all of these capacities at the same time. He served in each of these capacities for a period of time, devoting his attention and energy to the tasks at hand. In 2014.

Jim was presented with an award by the Lake Shore Fire District, and as a symbol of the honor that was bestowed upon him, the district etched his name into the Wall of Fame.
